Miramar’s The Forever Smoke Shop was vandalized just before its grand opening. Surveillance video captured a man smashing the front windows and door of the business with hammers before taking a photo of his handiwork. He returned 20 minutes later to inflict more damage before destroying the surveillance cameras.
The owner arrived in the morning to discover the extent of the vandalism and is unsure if the grand opening, scheduled for Saturday, will go ahead as planned. Anthony Pascariella, owner of Major Ink Studios nearby, expressed disbelief at the situation and support for the affected business owner.
The owner of The Forever Smoke Shop declined to speak on camera due to fear and uncertainty about the perpetrator’s identity and motives. Miramar police and Broward Crime Stoppers are seeking any information that may lead to the apprehension of the suspect. The community is urged to contact authorities with any potential leads.
