Soulful Symposium: Mississippi Department of Health Infuses ‘Be in Good Health’ with Gospel Music and Informative Talks

The Mississippi State Department of Health is putting a new spin on its upcoming “Be in Good Health” symposium by infusing it with soul. Officials have announced that the event will feature a gospel choir competition, as well as informative talks from health experts and free health screenings. The symposium will take place on Saturday at the Jackson Convention Complex, starting at 8:30 a.m. and running until 2 p.m.

At least eight choirs will participate in the competition, including Anderson United Methodist Church Praise Team, Pastor J Artie Stuckey & VOR, and Jemero Carter & Kingdomology. The event is being organized by the Office of Health Equity and the Community Engagement Center of the Jackson Heart Study.

The symposium promises to be a day filled with soulful music, valuable health information, and important health screenings. Attendees can reserve their seats by clicking the provided link.
