Swan Valley’s Struggle to Resume Baseball Doubleheader after Rain Interruption

Swan Valley Outperforms John Glenn

On Tuesday, Swan Valley faced off against Bay City John Glenn in a Tri-Valley Conference baseball matchup. Unfortunately, rain interrupted the second game in the third inning with John Glenn leading 2-0. Both teams are hoping to resume the doubleheader on Wednesday.

In the first game, Joey Miller pitched a five-inning complete game, allowing seven hits and one run while striking out six. Lucas Ordway led the offense with three hits, two RBIs, and two runs. Jaxon Hartley, Colton Klein, and Aaron Smith also contributed with two RBIs each for the Vikings.

In softball news, Chesaning had a dominant performance against Durand on Tuesday. The first game ended with Chesaning winning 21-0 and the second game finishing with a score of 17-0. Izzy Popilek threw a three-inning no-hitter in the opener, striking out nine batters. Popilek also had three hits and three RBIs. Ava Devereaux led the offense with three hits, including a double and a homer, five RBIs, three stolen bases, and three runs. Brezlyn Struck threw a one-hitter in the second game and struck out five batters. Marenda Jones, Abbey VanHaaren, and Kalyn Trevino each had two hits for Chesaning
