Tadweer and Livedian Join Forces to Reduce Waste Carbon Emissions

The Tadweer Group and British climate company Levidian have teamed up to focus on international projects aimed at removing carbon from waste. The group is currently working on a pilot project in Abu Dhabi, set to be operational by the end of 2024.

The partnership between Tadweer and Levidian has received high praise from Oliver Christian, the British government’s trade commissioner in the Middle East. He emphasized the importance of this collaboration in addressing one of the greatest climate challenges of our time. Through their combined efforts, Tadweer’s commitment to sustainability and Levidian’s innovative technology will help convert waste into energy and extract value from it not only in Abu Dhabi but globally.

Levidian’s “LOOP” technology is at the heart of this project, using it to produce clean hydrogen and carbon-negative graphene. These materials can be used as high-quality additives to improve various materials such as concrete, batteries, and plastics.

Ali Al Dhaheri, CEO of Tadweer, expressed his pride in investing in Levidian and bringing this technology to the UAE. He highlighted the importance of collaboration with like-minded companies to introduce new technologies that revolutionize waste treatment for future generations.

John Hartley, CEO of Levidian, stressed the urgency of tackling climate change in the waste sector and how this partnership with Tadweer is an important step towards supporting waste companies and governments worldwide in their efforts to extract value and remove carbon from waste.

With a mobile system, Tadweer and Levidian plan to complete more carbon removal projects globally using this technology as a scalable solution for methane waste removal. The goal is to continue refining and improving this technology for maximum impact on reducing emissions from waste management processes.

Overall, this partnership between two leading companies represents a significant step towards finding innovative solutions for one of the greatest challenges facing our planet today – reducing greenhouse gas emissions from waste management processes.
