Taylor Pendrith had a standout day at the CJ Cup Byron Nelson, securing his first PGA Tour victory. Ben Kohles and Alex Noren also impressed, finishing second and third, respectively. Pendrith’s win means he will have the opportunity to compete in the final three signature events of the season, including the Wells Fargo Championship, Memorial Tournament, and Travelers Championship.
In addition to their impressive performances at TPC Craig Ranch, Kohles and Noren also earned spots in the Wells Fargo Championship through their Aon Swing 5 rankings. The top five players who accumulated the most points from the Corales Puntacana Championship, Zurich Classic, and Nelson were Pendrith, Kohles, Noren, Billy Horschel, and Kevin Tway. These players qualified for the upcoming tournaments based on their combined point totals.
Chad Ramey finished just outside of the top five in the Swing 5 rankings. The Aon Next 10 group also saw minimal changes since the RBC Heritage event. Shane Lowry moved into the top 10 of this category after winning Zurich with Rory McIlroy. Other notable members of this group include Ludvig Ã…berg, Matthieu Pavon, Stephan Jaeger, Will Zalatoris, Akshay Bhatia, Jake Knapp
