Teachers Federal Credit Union is currently hosting its 4th Annual Teacher Appreciation Week Contest in honor of the vital role educators play in shaping the future. Ms. Hernandez, a sixth-grade general education and ENL science teacher at William Floyd Middle School, has been selected as one of the top six middle school level finalists out of 1,500 candidates.
Ms. Hernandez embodies teaching excellence and leadership in her field, serving as the driving force behind William Floyd Middle School’s Science Fiction Club. Through this club, she provides students with an outlet for their love of the genre while fostering critical thinking, creativity, and a sense of community among its members. Ms. Hernandez is also actively engaged in professional development opportunities, constantly seeking ways to enhance her teaching methods and stay updated on educational trends.
One vote is allowed per email address during this final round of voting which ends on Friday night, April 26th. Teachers Federal Credit Union encourages everyone to take part in this contest to show appreciation for Ms. Hernandez and all educators who make a difference in our lives every day. The winners will be announced on Monday, May 6th, the beginning of Teacher Appreciation Week!
