Sangbok Kim, a Teaching Professor of Korean in the College of Arts and Sciences, has been awarded the prestigious 2024 ASSETT Excellence in Teaching with Technology Award. This recognition comes after a rigorous selection process by a committee of peers and students who evaluated his outstanding contributions to teaching and learning within the college.
Professor Kim’s innovative use of technology in the classroom has been praised by one of his students, who nominated him for this award. The student highlighted how Professor Kim leverages various technological tools such as shared OneDrive documents, AI, PIP Lang (which he helped develop), and other resources that enhance the learning experience both inside and outside of the classroom.
The student noted that Professor Kim’s use of technology has greatly improved their learning experience, enabling better collaboration within the class and more efficient learning.
