Texas Gov. Greg Abbott joined 106-year-old Alfred “Al” Blaschke on his latest skydiving adventure, helping Blaschke reclaim his Guinness World Records title. At the age of 106 years and 327 days old, Blaschke had originally earned the title for being the oldest person to tandem skydive when he jumped out of a plane at the age of 103 in 2020. However, his record was later broken by a Swedish woman named Rut Linnéa Ingegärd Larsson, who was 103 years and 259 days old when she went skydiving.
Determined to regain his title, Blaschke took another leap of faith and went skydiving once again. His courage and determination paid off as he successfully recaptured his record at an impressive age. When asked about his experience, Blaschke shared some inspiring words with others. He encouraged people not to underestimate themselves and to believe in their own capabilities. All it takes is the courage to try something new and an adventurous spirit like Blaschke’s to achieve great things.
