The 2024 World Championship Barbecue Cooking Contest is just around the corner, taking place at Liberty Park from May 15-18. Get ready for some exciting entertainment as Barbecue Sauce Wrestling kicks off the festivities on Wednesday night. On Thursday, fans can enjoy a performance by alternative rock band Marcy Playground, followed by a show by local rock band Ingram Hill on Friday. DJ MicTee from K97 will bring it all to a close with a performance on Saturday at the Cattlemen’s Main Stage.
At the Home Depot Outdoor Kitchen, attendees can meet and greet with pitmasters such as Moe Cason, Joe Davidson, Megan & Jason Day, Chris Lilly, and more. Free samples are also available for your taste buds to enjoy. The McCormick Demo Stage will offer culinary tips and a special meet and greet with Rocky Stubblefield of Stubb’s Bar-B-Q Sauce. For those interested in judging barbecue, sign up for the Kingsford Tour of Champions where you can visit teams, sample barbecue and cast your vote.
