The 106th PGA Championship at Valhalla is set to feature Tiger Woods and the world’s top 103 ranked golfers. He intends to play more tournaments leading up to the US and British Opens. Woods has accepted a special invitation to the US Open next month.

The PGA field comprises 33 major winners, with 16 of them being former PGA Championship winners. Two spots in the 156-player field are still open for winners of this week’s PGA Tour events. The lineup also includes defending champion Brooks Koepka, who is one of 16 players from the LIV Golf League participating in the tournament.

Scheffler has decided to skip this week’s PGA Tour event to be with his wife as they await the birth of their child. Other notable players in the field include Rory McIlroy, Jon Rahm, Tyrrell Hatton, Brooks Koepka, and Phil Mickelson.

Last year’s LIV season champion, Talor Gooch, will be making his fifth consecutive appearance at the PGA Championship. The field also includes 21 club professionals and 20 qualifiers. Michael Block, who finished 15th last year
