The goat blood pudding was prepared using boiled pig ears, liver, and throat, with each tray having a large bowl for guests to consume. Despite the family’s efforts to ensure that everything was safe for consumption, one man passed away after consuming the dish. Additionally, 18 others experienced symptoms such as fever, digestive issues, and abdominal pain following the feast.
The incident is currently being investigated by authorities who are looking into the possibility of food poisoning. Further investigation is needed to determine the exact cause and agent involved. The Department of Health is awaiting the results of blood cultures from the affected individuals in order to provide more information on the situation.
