Ethan Fang, Sampson Zheng, and Eric Lee all placed in the top-13 individually, marking the best finish for the Bears since 2016. With hopes of earning a bid to the NCAA regionals in May, the team was thrilled with their performance.
Meanwhile, the Cal women’s water polo team secured a runner-up spot at the MPSF championships after advancing to the title game for the first time since 2011. Standout players like Rozanne Voorvelt and Mary Dempsey made significant contributions with their goal-scoring, and the Bears will now host the NCAA Championships at the Spieker Aquatics Complex for the first time.
In another achievement, the Cal beach volleyball team earned a spot in the NCAA championships for the third consecutive year, securing a program-best No. 7 seed. They will face Long Beach State in
