UK Prime Minister Liz Truss has expressed her support for Donald Trump ahead of the upcoming US presidential elections. According to Truss, the world was a safer place when Trump was in office due to his more aggressive stance towards Iran and China. She also commended Trump’s support for Ukraine.
Truss made it clear that she believes the world would be in a different position if Trump had been reelected in 2020. When asked if she would like to see Trump back in the White House, Truss replied with a definitive “it has to be.” She praised Trump for being effective in preventing aggressive regimes from expanding, hinting that his reelection could have had a positive impact.
However, Trump is currently facing legal troubles as the first US ex-president to be criminally prosecuted on charges related to falsifying business records. In addition to the current legal woes facing Trump, he also faces three other criminal cases related to hoarding top-secret documents after leaving office and attempting to overturn the results of the 2020 election. Trump’s impeachment twice during his presidency further complicates his political future. On the other hand, President Joe Biden has been met with obstacles in returning to the White House, with some voters expressing concerns over his age and ability to serve another term.
