The Tulsa World is once again recognizing the top high school athletes in the Tulsa area with the All-World Awards. This week, finalists for winter sports will be announced, starting with boys and girls swimming on Wednesday, boys and girls wrestling on Thursday, boys basketball on Friday, and girls basketball on Saturday. Sunday will feature the announcement of the All-State boys and girls basketball teams.
In addition to winter sports, finalists for spring sports will also be revealed in early June. These finalists will include athletes from football, softball, volleyball, cross country, track and field, soccer and tennis. Winners for specialty awards such as the best comeback, inspirational and scholar athletes will also be announced at this time.
The winners for athletes of the year in each sport will be announced at the eighth annual All-World Awards banquet, presented by Bill Knight Automotive, on Thursday, June 20 at the Cox Business Convention Center’s Legacy Hall.
