After careful consideration and discussions with World Athletics and the 2024 World Athletics U20 Championships Local Organizing Committee (LOC), USATF has received confirmation of adequate safety measures that will be implemented at the event. As a result, the organization has decided to send a team to represent Team USA at the Championships, which will take place from August 26-31, 2024, in Lima, Peru.
The safety and well-being of USATF athletes, coaches, managers, and staff remain the organization’s top priority. USATF is committed to maintaining close communication with all relevant stakeholders to ensure everyone’s safety during the event. The organization is dedicated to offering its athletes the best competitive opportunities as they strive for success.
Following the USATF Under-20 Championships, scheduled for June 12-13, 2024, in Eugene, Oregon, a full team announcement will be made.
