Vector Construction has been recognized with a Gold Star in the Innovation Category of the Excellence in Concrete Award program by the North Dakota Ready Mix & Concrete Products Association for their work on the Bismarck Parkade Ramp. The company collaborated with Walker Consultants to develop a solution completed in August 2023. The project involved repairing concrete radius beams on three levels of the spiral exit ramp and was the only Bismarck location to win one of the 14 category awards from the association.

In recent years, companies have emphasized the importance of a skilled workforce to enhance productivity and streamline processes, despite high costs and inflation. Employers are seeking individuals who can meet specific requirements and contribute effectively to operations. As a result, upskilling and continuous training have become essential as businesses seek to drive forward in a market still recovering from the impacts of the pandemic.

Employees who can adapt and align their capabilities with evolving demands will have a competitive advantage. The focus is now on fostering a mutually beneficial relationship where both parties benefit from a well-honed skill set, leading to a more resilient and productive economic environment.

Nexus-PATH Family Healing has opened a mental health clinic in Bismarck. The clinic is located at 600 S. Second St., Suite 220, with therapist Tara Helfrich on staff. Helfrich, a Mandan native, holds an undergraduate social work degree from North Dakota State University and Minot State University, and a Master of Social Work degree from Western New Mexico University. She specializes in trauma-focused therapy and is certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.

As we move forward into this new economic landscape, it’s clear that companies need individuals who can adapt quickly and effectively to meet evolving demands. With upskilling and continuous training becoming essential for success, employees must stay current with industry trends to ensure they remain competitive in their fields.
