Trine University is thrilled to announce the launch of a new Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science degree program. Drawing on its strengths in the sciences and engineering, this program aims to provide students with the necessary skills to understand and address the environmental challenges facing our planet.
The Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science will be offered through Trine’s Rinker-Ross School of Health Sciences. This program is designed to prepare students for careers in various fields related to the environment, law, health and safety, or public policy. Lexie Staten, Dean of the Rinker-Ross School of Health Sciences, emphasizes that this program focuses on examining and improving the health of our planet and its inhabitants.
With hands-on fieldwork and research projects, the degree will equip graduates to work in governmental agencies, non-profit organizations, or private companies as environmental or conservation scientists, environmental educators, lawyers, environmental policy analysts, or environmental health and safety specialists. The Bureau of Labor Services predicts above-average job growth in this field over the next decade, making it a promising career path for graduates.
