The Aspen Institute has recently announced eight new speakers who will be joining the Aspen Ideas: Health gathering in June. These experts, along with over 150 leaders from various fields such as health care, public health, policy, business, and technology, will discuss innovative solutions to the challenges faced in health, medicine, and science.
The three-day convention will take place on the main Aspen Institute campus. Among the new speakers announced for Aspen Ideas: Health are Vivek Murthy, U.S. Surgeon General; Mandy Cohen, director of Centers for Disease Control and Prevention; Anne Wojcicki, co-founder and CEO of 23andMe; Peter Lee, president of Microsoft Research; Laura Deming, partner and founder of The Longevity Fund; Malama Tafuna’i, primary care physician and senior professional practice fellow at Va’a o Tautai; Barbara Natterson-Horowitz, professor of medicine at UCLA School of Medicine; and Joshua Roan, cellist and composer and creator of the Immunity Project.
Aspen Ideas: Health will take place from June 20-23 and will lead into the Aspen Ideas Festival which is the Aspen Institute’s flagship summer convening that runs from June 23-29. Earlier this month Jane Fonda and Bill Maher were announced as the first group of speakers for the festival.
