Adam Schefter of ESPN reported that Bud Dupree, a free-agent edge rusher, is close to joining a new team after completing a visit with the Chargers. The Falcons and Steelers have shown interest in Dupree, who began his career as a first-round pick for the Steelers in 2015.
Dupree has spent six seasons with the Steelers before signing with the Titans in 2021-2022 season and then joined the Falcons for the last season where he recorded 6.5 sacks, eight tackles for loss, and eight QB hits, along with three passes defensed and two forced fumbles in 16 games. In his career of 119 games with 99 starts, Dupree has accumulated 53.0 sacks, 70 tackles for loss, and 90 QB hits. The 31-year-old is a proven pass rusher with experience in the league and could be a valuable addition to any team in need of a strong defensive presence.
