On April 28th, the Mexican Cultural Center will be hosting Dia del Niño in partnership with the Denver Museum of Nature and Science. This national holiday is a celebration of Children’s Day in Mexico, and it is a time to honor the joy, innocence, and fun that children bring. The event will feature music, dance, and various activities for all to enjoy.
Rachel Garcia, the Executive Director of the Mexican Cultural Center, emphasizes the special place that children hold in Latino and Mexican culture. She sees Dia del Niño as an opportunity to share this day with all cultures and celebrate the energy, excitement, and community engagement that it brings.
The event will take place at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science starting at 9 a.m. on Sunday morning. Admission to Dia del Niño is free, with an added bonus of half off admission to the “Orcas” exhibit and Planetarium shows. This promises to be a dynamic and fun-filled day for everyone involved.
