The Australian women’s cricket team is looking to secure their seventh title at the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024, which will take place in Bangladesh from October 3 to 20. As reigning champions, Australia is placed in Group A alongside India, Pakistan, New Zealand, and a qualifying team. Group B consists of Bangladesh, England, South Africa, West Indies, and another qualifier team. The top two teams from each group will advance to the semi-finals.
The ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Qualifier in Abu Dhabi, UAE will determine the two qualifying teams for the tournament. The top two teams from this event, concluding on May 7, will secure the spots. Australia will kick off their title defense against one of the qualifiers in their group on October 4th at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium. October 4th – Australia vs Qualifier 1 – 7:00 PM AEST
October 9th – Australia vs Pakistan – 12:00 AM AEDT (Australian Eastern Daylight Time)
October 11th – Australia vs New Zealand – 8:00 PM AEDT (Australian Eastern Daylight Time)
October 14th – India vs Australia – 12:00 AM AEDT (Australian Eastern Daylight Time)
AEDT is used from October first Sunday to April first Sunday while AEST is used during the rest of the year. With six titles already under their belt and being reigning champions, Australia is one of the favorites to win this tournament as well.
