Seeking Volunteers for Door-to-Door Census of Public Health Across Multiple Counties

A new initiative is set to take place in Helena as a first-of-its-kind multi-county community health survey. The Community Assessment for Public Health Emergency Response (CASPER) aims to provide a snapshot of community health conditions, behaviors, and social determinants. It’s a collaborative effort involving organizations such as Lewis and Clark Public Health, Pureview Health Center, and St. Peter’s Health.

The survey will be conducted door-to-door across Lewis and Clark, Jefferson, Powell, Broadwater, and Meagher counties by volunteers on Tuesday, June 25th, between 2:30 and 7:30 p.m. Thirty 2-member teams will be assigned to locate seven households in each census block who are willing to participate. Residents who take part in the survey will have the opportunity to win a $500 Visa gift card.

The data collected from the CASPER survey will be used to identify public health priorities and develop a community health improvement plan. The deadline to apply as a volunteer for the survey is Monday, June 17th. This initiative aims to gather valuable information that will help in addressing health issues and improving the overall well-being of the community.
