Aon Swing 5 and Next 10 golfers confirmed for Wells Fargo Championship

Taylor Pendrith made history at the CJ Cup Byron Nelson by securing his first PGA Tour victory. The tournament was closely contested, with Ben Kohles and Alex Noren finishing in second and third place, respectively, at TPC Craig Ranch. Pendrith’s win guarantees him spots in upcoming events such as the Wells Fargo Championship, Memorial Tournament, and Travelers Championship.

Meanwhile, the top five players who accumulated the most points from the Corales Puntacana Championship, Zurich Classic, and Nelson were Pendrith, Kohles, Noren, Billy Horschel, and Kevin Tway. Players who have won one of these tournaments qualify through the Swing 5 or Next 10 categories. Chad Ramey narrowly missed out on the top 5, finishing in sixth place.

In addition to these categories, the Aon Next 10 system also played a significant role in determining the top players for upcoming tournaments. Shane Lowry moved into the top 10 after claiming victory at Zurich with Rory McIlroy. Other players like Ludvig Ã…berg, Matthieu Pavon, and Justin Thomas also joined this ranking. This system ensures that a fair and competitive selection of players is made for upcoming events.
