The Doha World Cup, held on April 19th, saw some incredible performances from athletes competing in gymnastics. On the women’s side, Karla Navas from Panama took the vault title with an average score of 13.850, while An Chang Ok from the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea closely followed with a score of 13.833. Valentina Georgieva from Bulgaria took home the bronze with a score of 13.466.
In the men’s competition, Milad Karimi from Kazakhstan emerged victorious in the floor exercise final with a score of 14.766, edging out Team GB’s Luke Whitehouse for the top spot. Karimi’s compatriot Dmitriy Patanin grabbed the bronze with a score of 14.500. In a highly competitive pommel horse final, Jordan’s Ahmad Abu Al Soud secured the gold with an impressive score of 15.500, ahead of Chinese Taipei’s Lee Chih Kai who scored 15.400 and defending champion Rhys McClenaghan from Ireland settled for the bronze with a score of 15.233
