In an effort to set a new Guinness World Record, the City of Kyle in Texas is hosting an event on May 18 at the Kyle Fair. The goal is to gather as many people named Kyle as possible within its city limits. This event is open to anyone with the first name “Kyle” spelled exactly that way.
To be eligible for participation, proof of the first name “Kyle” is required. Variations of the name, such as Kyler, Kyal, or Kylee, will not be accepted. Middle names, last names, and nicknames also do not qualify for participation in this record-breaking attempt.
The current record for the most individuals named Ivan gathered in one place was held in Bosnia in 2017 with 2,325 participants. Last year’s “Gathering of the Kyles” event in Kyle, Texas brought together 1,490 participants from across the country.
The Kyle Fair A Tex-Travaganza will run from May 17-19 at Lake Kyle Park and feature live music, food trucks, margarita judging, rib judging and other activities. Admission to the fair is free for all attendees.
