On March 21st, 2024, McGill’s Chemistry Outreach Group took part in the Real Ventures Future Innovators Science Fair at the Royal Charles Elementary School. The event was held in honor of International Women’s Month and saw a group of STEM experts and educators come together to inspire students.
Paty Garcia, a member of the Chemistry Outreach group, shared her personal journey and how it influenced her perception of women in STEM fields. She spoke about how she was motivated to pursue a career in science by the diverse group of people who encouraged her along the way.
