The Cox Science Center and Aquarium in Palm Beach is hosting its annual ‘Tis the Season for Science event from November 24th to January 7th. Running daily between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m., this year’s festivities include a range of holiday activities such as “Let it Snow” Planetarium Shows, Laser Light Holiday Shows, Frigid Science Demonstrations, and Winter Wonder STEM activities.
Admission to ‘Tis the Season for Science is $24 for adults, $20 for children, $22 for seniors, and free for members. Visitors can explore the center’s many exhibits, which include hands-on educational displays, a 10,000-gallon aquarium, digital planetarium, Discovery Center for Pre-K children, conservation-themed Mini-Golf Course, and outdoor science trail. One of the center’s standout displays is the “Journey Through the Human Brain,” showcasing cutting-edge neuroscience research.
The Cox Amphitheater at the center hosts daily live science shows, seasonal laser shows, and special event programming. Recently, the center received a $20 million gift from Palm Beachers Howard and Wendy Cox, leading to a name change and plans for a transformative capital expansion campaign. Construction is set to begin in late summer 2023 with a completion target of 2026.
