Holiday World, Indiana’s largest amusement park, is kicking off the spring with the launch of its Thanksgiving-themed area. The new ride called ‘Good Gravy!’ has been generating a lot of excitement since its announcement. According to Holiday World owner Leah Koch-Blumhardt, the ride is expected to be a popular attraction this season.

The ‘Good Gravy!’ ride is an oversized interpretation of Thanksgiving dinner, where riders sit in gravy boat trains and speed out of grandma’s house, pass through a giant can of cranberry sauce, and go past a towering milk jug. This coaster is a family-friendly example of a “boomerang” ride, where riders experience both forward and backward rides using the same tracks.

While some boomerang coasters in other parks feature extreme twists, turns, and loops for advanced riders, ‘Good Gravy!’ is a relatively tame ride with a minimum height requirement of 38 inches. The new ride is located in the Thanksgiving-themed area alongside other attractions like “Turkey Whirl” and “Gobblers Getaway.”

Holiday World recently auctioned off the first rides on ‘Good Gravy!’ to raise money for the North Spencer Community Action Center. The first rides took place on May 3, with exclusive access for Platinum and Season Pass members on May 4 and 5. The park opens to all visitors on Saturday, with single-day passes starting at $39.99. Splashin’ Safari, the water park, opens the following weekend with increased prices. Both parks are operating on a cashless system, and Holiday World is scheduled to close in October.

The new Thanksgiving-themed area at Holiday World has been generating buzz since its unveiling earlier this year. One of the standout attractions in this area is the new ride called ‘Good Gravy!’, which has received overwhelming feedback from visitors since its announcement.

This oversized interpretation of Thanksgiving dinner takes families on an exciting journey through grandma’s house using gravy boat trains that speed through giant cans of cranberry sauce and past towering milk jugs before repeating the experience in reverse.

While some boomerang coasters in other parks feature extreme twists and turns for advanced riders, ‘Good Gravy!’ is designed to be more family-friendly with a relatively tame ride that requires only a minimum height requirement of 38 inches.

The new ride joins other attractions like “Turkey Whirl” and “Gobblers Getaway” in the Thanksgiving-themed area at Holiday World.

In addition to being an exciting new attraction for visitors this season, Holiday World also recently auctioned off the first rides on ‘Good Gravy!’ to raise money for charity.

On May 3rd exclusive access was given to Platinum and Season Pass members while all visitors were invited to experience it on May 6th as part of Splashin’ Safari weekend opening celebration.

Visitors can now purchase single-day passes starting at $39.99 while Splashin’ Safari continues until October when Holiday World will close down operations.
