U.S. Senator Joni Ernst (R-Iowa) has announced Hawkeye Molding of Story County as her Small Business of the Week for this week. As Ranking Member of the Senate Small Business Committee, Ernst is committed to recognizing a small business in each of Iowa’s 99 counties throughout Congress.
Hawkeye Molding is a leader in plastic injection product manufacturing with over 45 years of history. The business serves various industries such as agriculture and furniture manufacturing. Originally founded in 1979 in Albia by Bob Russell and Mike Lawrence, it was acquired by Ryan Gruhn and Lana Leander in 2021, who are headquartered in Roland and have received recognition for their economic contributions to the community, including awards from the Ames Chamber of Commerce and Iowa Farm Bureau.
Ranking Member Ernst commended Ryan and Lana’s dedication to keeping jobs in Iowa and plans to continue honoring small businesses across the state with her Small Business of the Week award.
