Recently, Innovative Motion Technologies (IMT), a Germantown, WI-based platform for industrial technology solutions, acquired Check Technology, a Troy, MI-based company specializing in flexible heating systems. While the specifics of the deal were not disclosed, it is expected to strengthen IMT’s position in the healthcare, agriculture, and off-road vehicle markets.
Founded in 1993, Check Technology has been designing and manufacturing tailored heating and control systems for various industries’ seating and other applications. With manufacturing facilities in Troy, Michigan, the company has been a key player in American-made control modules since its inception.
Under the leadership of CEO Rich Weeden, IMT is a provider of industrial technology platforms and designer and supplier of interface and controls solutions for a range of OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) and aftermarket applications. The company operates two main brands: Raffel Systems and Micro-Air. Raffel Systems focuses on electro-mechanical controls for residential, healthcare, industrial, cinema, and hospitality markets. In contrast, Micro-Air focuses on environmental controls for residential recreational vehicles (RV), HVAC (Heating Ventilation Air Conditioning), and marine applications.
