The University of Jamestown baseball team had an impressive season, with eight players receiving GPAC All-Conference awards. Alex Alva, Avery Liestman, and Ethan Petty were named to the first team, while Chase Burke, Cade Torgerson, and Jordan Singleton made the second team. Torgerson also received recognition as an All-Conference gold glover.
Four Jimmies received honorable mentions: Ryan Radkey, Hayden Brown, Luke Zimmer, and Jett Nelson. Each player contributed significantly to the team’s success this season.
Alva had a standout year with a .330 batting average, five home runs, 37 RBIs, and 12 stolen bases. Liestman impressed in his first season as a Jimmie, going 7-1 with a 2.38 ERA and 46 strikeouts. Petty pitched in 23 games, going 1-1 with a 0.42 ERA and 36 strikeouts. Torgerson had an outstanding record of 7-3 in 16 appearances, including one save
