Bartlesville High track and field had a remarkable performance at Regionals, qualifying 12 student athletes for State. The usual suspects from BHS, including jumpers and long-distance runners, have been shining all spring and will be competing for championships at the State level.
Head coach David Ayres highlighted some of the relay teams that will be representing Bartlesville at the upcoming State competition. One athlete to watch is Gentry Turner, who has been a standout competitor for BHS this season. Turner is a strong contender to win the two-mile event and has run a sub-five-minute mile, making her an impressive athlete to keep an eye on.
Apart from Turner, Ayres also mentioned several other Bartlesville qualifiers who have the potential to make a mark at the State meet. With 6A State set to take place in Oklahoma City this Friday and Saturday, all eyes will be on Bartlesville High’s talented track and field team as they compete for top honors in their events.
