John Pannell is returning as the manager of the Doenges Ford Indians for his 15th season overall, marking the start of summer. The team will be hosting tryouts on May 16th in downtown Bartlesville, signifying the beginning of a new season. Despite high school players increasingly choosing to play travel baseball or larger metro area teams, Pannell believes playing for the Indians offers a unique experience that helps players grow.
The Indians finished 15-17-1 last year and will field a 19-and-under team this summer. The season opener is scheduled for the Memorial Day weekend, with regular season games and trips to Arkansas also on the schedule.
