“May the Science Be With You” Makes a Return to Las Vegas this Thursday

The popular event that combines science with Star Wars, known as ‘May the Science Be With You,’ will return to Las Vegas on Thursday for a free, family-friendly experience. This collaboration between the Atomic Museum and the Desert Research Institute (DRI) is sure to excite both science enthusiasts and Star Wars fans alike.

At the event, attendees can expect to see science demonstrations, hands-on activities like Padawan training, and more. In addition, there will be food trucks and community partner booths on-site. Shawna Witt, DRI STEM Education Coordinator, highlighted the interactive nature of the event, with engineering tools like snap circuits and a remote controlled model rover available for kids to explore. Matt Malinowski, Atomic Museum Director of Education, emphasized the appeal of the event for Star Wars fans, encouraging attendees to come meet some characters, have fun and possibly learn something new.

The ‘May the Science Be With You’ event is part of the Las Vegas Science & Technology Festival and will take place from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at 755 E. Flamingo Road. In addition to all this excitement on-site visitors will also have access half-priced admission to museum exhibits during this time period at The Atomic Museum.
