Maryland is a leader in the nation when it comes to health care research and development, thanks to its renowned medical and federal institutions. In recognition of this, The Daily Record has just announced the recipients of the 2024 Health Care Heroes awards in Maryland. These awards honor individuals and organizations that have made significant contributions to improving the quality of health care in the state.
The Health Care Heroes awards are given out in several categories, including Advancements and Innovation in Health Care, Community Outreach (both individual and organizational), Lifetime Achievement, Mental Health Hero (both individual and organizational), Nurse of the Year, Nurse Practitioner of the Year, Physician Assistant of the Year, Physician of the Year, and Volunteer of the Year. These categories recognize individuals who have gone above and beyond to provide exceptional care and work towards enhancing health care in Maryland.
