Don’t miss out on the Comparative & Multi-Method Approaches workshop at the 2024 APSA Annual Meeting in Philadelphia, PA on Wednesday, September 4. Co-Leaders will guide early career researchers through the application of mixed methods to political economy questions.
During this workshop, participants will learn how to utilize multiple methodologies to investigate key political economy issues such as redistribution, democratization, economic policy, unionization, and social policy. By utilizing a comprehensive understanding of variation in democratic policy and politics across different countries, participants will gain valuable insights into these topics.
If you are an early career researcher using two or more research methods in your thesis, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity. While individual chapters may focus on a single method, participants should be prepared to discuss how their work fits into their broader dissertation. Research on any area within political economy and any geographic focus is welcome.
This workshop is just one of many in-person and virtual dissertation workshops offered by APSA each year. In-person events take place the Wednesday before the Annual Meeting, while virtual workshops occur over a three-week period in the summer. Each workshop includes presentations from six PhD candidates and is led by two faculty members who facilitate discussions. Apply by May 19, 2024, to participate in this unique research opportunity.
