The electric G-Class boasts an updated and strengthened ladder frame that has been designed to accommodate the electric drive. The body maintains its distinctive angular design and iconic features, including independent front suspension with double wishbones and a new rigid rear axle. Equipped with a high-voltage lithium-ion battery with a usable capacity of 116 kWh, this vehicle offers a range of up to 473 kilometers according to WLTP standards.
Powered by four individual electric motors near each wheel, delivering a maximum output of 432 kW, this vehicle provides unique driving capabilities and exclusive functions such as the G-TURN feature that allows it to turn almost on the spot on unpaved surfaces. The G-STEERING function offers significantly reduced turning circles when driving off-road, while the three-speed intelligent off-road crawl function acts as off-road cruise control. This model can handle slopes of up to 100% on suitable surfaces and remains stable on sideways inclines of up to 35 degrees.
The electric G-Class also boasts a maximum fording depth of 850 millimeters, which surpasses its petrol counterparts by 150 millimeters. The LOW RANGE off-road gearing enhances propulsion with a specific reduction ratio, while intelligent torque vectoring simulates conventional differential locks using torque distribution between wheels. Additionally, the G-ROAR feature brings a unique driving experience with its distinctive sound profile that includes an “aura” sound and various “event” sounds.
