Topcon Positioning Systems has recently announced a strategic partnership with Bentley Systems and Worldsensing to improve geospatial data accuracy and operational efficiency. The partnership aims to integrate Topcon’s GNSS technology into the companies’ software and connectivity solutions, allowing users to make better decisions and enhance their digital twins capabilities.
One of the key outcomes of this partnership is the incorporation of Topcon’s web-based GNSS processing engine into Bentley’s iTwin internet-of-things (IoT) monitoring solutions. This integration will provide users with real-time geospatial intelligence, enabling them to detect potential risks in real-time and make informed decisions. Steve Bentley, senior director of infrastructure IoT at Bentley Systems, emphasized that the system is designed to enhance the capabilities of infrastructure digital twins.
The partnership offers a connect-and-collect solution that facilitates real-time detection and analysis of potential risks. The core component of this solution is GNSS technology, which seeks to make ground-movement monitoring applications more cost-effective and efficient, while also reducing the initial investment required for GNSS monitoring.
This integrated solution is currently available for commercial use in the United States, Canada, Australia, Europe, the Middle East, and Africa. Bentley Systems plans to expand the solution’s reach to South and Latin America in the near future. By combining Topcon’s GNSS technology with Bentley’s software solutions, users can expect improved geospatial data accuracy and enhanced operational efficiency across different regions.
