Survivors of the Hamas attack file lawsuit against US campus protesters

A group of Israeli and American citizens who were affected by the 7/10 events have filed a lawsuit against protest organizations at US universities for their ties to Hamas. The plaintiffs are seeking to disconnect these organizations from Hamas and educate the students involved in these protests about their behavior. They also aim to hinder the fundraising and operations of these groups on campuses and obtain additional information that will reveal the flow of support to terrorist organizations on these campuses.

The lawsuit outlines a coordinated social media campaign following Hamas’s attack on Israel, with messages justifying the attack being spread by members of the AMP and NSJP. It mentions a document called the ‘NSJP Toolbox’ that was distributed to protest leaders on campuses with instructions on propaganda, protest management, and recruitment strategies. The document emphasized the need for actions beyond symbolic gestures and legitimized any form of resistance, even violent confrontation. The NSJP also claimed to be part of an organized intifada led by Hamas and supported liberation through any means necessary, including violence.

The prosecutors allege that the AMP and NSJP were involved in planning events that targeted the American economy in solidarity with Hamas and Iran’s Revolutionary Guards. They accuse these organizations of being the PR arm of terrorist groups, recruiting soldiers, spreading propaganda, and inciting violence to influence US policy and support Hamas’s goals. The plaintiffs are seeking compensation directly from these organizations as per the court’s decision.

Richard Rosenbaum, president of Greenberg Traurig, expressed pride in representing the plaintiffs and ensuring that evidence of the defendants’ violations of the law is presented in court. He emphasized the firm’s commitment to seeking justice for those affected by terrorist actions and bringing accountability to organizations that collaborated with terrorists.
