In 2024, Tom Stoltman claimed his third title as the “World’s Strongest Man” in just four years. He won the competition with a dominant performance, finishing first in his signature event, the Atlas Stones, with a total of 53 points. This put him 5.5 points ahead of second-place finisher Mitchell Hooper, who was unable to stop Stoltman from achieving another title.
Hooper, who had won the competition in 2023, faced similar challenges to last year when he prevented Stoltman from achieving a rare three-peat. With this win, Stoltman now shares the title of third on the all-time winners list of the WSM with American Bill Kazmaeir (1980, 1981, 1982). Despite being only 29 years old, Stoltman consistently placed no lower than third in any of the six events held over the two-day finals. He tied for the most points in the Max Axle event and Keg Toss on day one of competition and took an early lead heading into day two.
Evan Singleton was the highest-placing American in the event and finished in third place overall. Singleton was also America’s best performer last year when he finished tied for fourth place. Luke Stoltman, Tom’s brother, finished ninth place shortly after winning Europe’s Strongest Man.
