The Chattanooga Police Department has released an update on the shooting incident that occurred on Eastgate Circle. According to the CPD, the shooting was a targeted attack and the victim, who is 27 years old, is in critical condition with life-threatening injuries. The Homicide Unit of the CPD is currently investigating the shooting and is asking anyone with information to contact them at 423-698-2525.
In a previous report, it was revealed that the victim was entering a business on Eastgate Circle at approximately 10:00am on Friday when one or more suspects began shooting. The victim was quickly transported to the hospital for treatment. At this time, no arrests have been made in connection to the shooting.
The CPD has also confirmed that the shooting took place at the 900 block of Eastgate Circle. The victim’s current condition remains unknown, but it is clear that this is an ongoing story and more details are expected to emerge as the investigation progresses.
