Arizona Science Center is launching a new series called Spotlight on Science for adults. This series will feature experts in various fields of science for an evening of discussion and education on topics that have a significant impact on society. The first event in this new series will focus on “Breakthroughs in Blood Biomarkers–Revolutionizing Alzheimer’s Disease Diagnosis” with Nicholas Ashton, PH. D, an expert in the field.
Ashton, the Banner Research Biomarker Program senior director, will delve into the possibility of using a blood test to detect Alzheimer’s disease during the event at the Science Center located downtown at 600 E. Washington St on Tuesday, May 14 starting at 7 p.m. There will also be a VIP reception for ticket holders starting at 5:30 p.m. Guests can expect to hear about Ashton’s work as a leader in the development, validation, and application of fluid biomarkers, including cerebrospinal fluid and blood tests, in the battle against Alzheimer’s and related disorders.
