A new study has been released examining the impact of violence on healthcare services in Eastern DRC. The research sheds light on the challenges faced by healthcare providers in conflict-affected areas and highlights the need for improved security risk management to ensure access to care.
During the Insecurity Insight session at HNPW 2024, a panel discussion will be held on guaranteeing access to healthcare through community support and better security risk management for hospitals in the DRC. The session will explore the results of an operational approach to risk analysis and the impact assessment of attacks on the health system. This session will involve input from security analysts, emergency practitioners, and other stakeholders in the humanitarian and health community. The session is scheduled for 3 May 2024 from 14:00-15:30 CET and will be conducted virtually. Registration is open to those interested in participating.
