Air Canada Announces Plans to Restart Flights to Israel in July or Later

On the night of April 14, Israeli airspace was closed for seven hours as Iran attacked Israel with missiles and drones. This led to Air Canada suspending flights from Toronto to Tel Aviv. The airline announced that flights would not resume until July, citing unstable conditions in the region following the recent attacks.

Despite Ben Gurion International Airport operating normally since then, many foreign airlines have still not resumed flights to Tel Aviv. In particular, EasyJet, a British budget company, suspended flights to Israel until October 27. This decision reflects ongoing concerns about the stability of the region following the conflict.

Other airlines are also closely monitoring the situation before resuming flights to Tel Aviv. The aviation industry is grappling with the impact of the conflict in the region, making decisions about flight operations based on security considerations. Passengers are advised to check with their airlines for updates and changes to flight schedules as the situation continues to evolve.
