Dignity Health and Aetna come to a new contract agreement

Dignity Health and Aetna have come to a new agreement that will allow Aetna members to continue receiving in-network access to Dignity’s services, facilities, and providers in California, Arizona, and Nevada. This comes after Dignity Health facilities and providers were initially dropped from Aetna’s health insurance network in early April due to failed negotiations.

The new multi-year contract went into effect on April 1 and ensures that any Aetna members who have received services from Dignity since that date will be covered. Both parties expressed their commitment to providing quality, convenient, and affordable care to members. Dignity Health’s president stated that the agreement is a win for patients who deserve access to high-quality care.

Aetna’s vice president and chief network officer for the Western and South Central region emphasized their dedication to meeting the healthcare needs of their members through their network of providers. They also expressed their gratitude towards Dignity Health for working with them to reach an agreement that benefits both parties.

Aetna members who have any questions about their coverage are advised to reach out to the number listed on their insurance card for assistance.
