Owner claims video evidence shows N.J. fire chief vandalizing rare Nissan sports car, reveals motive.

Mark Bahna, the owner of a rare 1995 Nissan Nismo 270R, has been left in shock after a New Jersey fire chief was criminally charged for vandalizing his car. Joshua Scolnick, who works as a fire chief at Piscataway Fire District No. 3, was seen on surveillance video dumping a bucket of rocks, mud, and gravel onto the sports car while it was parked next to the firehouse.

Bahna claims that Scolnick was upset about rainwater from his sump pump seeping over to the Arbor Hose Company #1 next door. The car’s owner stated that Scolnick is known for being aggressive and impulsive when it comes to fixing problems in the community. He mentioned that he had never had any issues with Scolnick before this incident.

CBS New York reached out to Piscataway Fire District No. 3 for comment but did not receive a response. Bahna’s attorney, Mark Speed, stated that they are exploring all legal options and have reached out to the parties involved. However, he did not provide further details about what those options might entail.

The incident has caused outrage in the community and has been a topic of discussion among locals who are shocked by Scolnick’s actions. Bahna’s rare sports car is priceless and may be one of only two ’95 Nismo 270R’s currently in the U.S., making its destruction all the more devastating. The damage caused by Scolnick’s actions has left many questioning whether he is fit to hold such a high-level position within the community’s emergency services department.
