Marika Auramo has recently joined Vodafone as a member of their Executive Committee after spending 25 years working at SAP. In her previous role, she was responsible for the go-to-market strategy of their product portfolio in 89 countries and most recently held the position of chief business officer for EMEA at SAP.
Vodafone’s group CEO, Margherita Della Valle, expressed her excitement about Auramo joining the team to lead the business division, which is considered a key growth driver for the company. Della Valle highlighted Auramo’s extensive B2B experience in the IT industry and looks forward to her contribution as a member of the Executive Committee.
In an interview with Reuters, Auramo expressed her enthusiasm for working with Della Valle and the management team at Vodafone Business. She noted that large corporates, SMEs, and the public sector are increasingly looking to integrate digital tools to boost growth and productivity.
During her time at SAP, Auramo played a crucial role in driving revenue growth through effective marketing campaigns and strategic partnerships. She believes that this experience will serve her well in her new role at Vodafone Business as they continue to expand their offerings in areas such as cloud computing, security, and IoT.
According to a recent report by Statista Research Department, cloud computing is expected to grow at a CAGR of 17% from 2020 to 2025. This presents significant growth opportunities for companies like Vodafone Business that are well-positioned to provide innovative solutions in this area.
