In the Darien region of Panama, the Ministry of Public Security reported that a staggering 109,069 migrants crossed the area between January 1st and March 31st, 2024. The nationalities with the highest number of entries are Venezuelans, Ecuadorians, Haitians, and Colombians.
Meanwhile, in Honduras, the National Migration Institute recorded that 87,852 migrants have crossed the country between January and February 2024. This represents a significant increase of 125.6% compared to the same period in 2023. The majority of these migrants consist of Venezuelans, Cubans, Haitians, and Ecuadorians.
In Colombia, statistics show that a significant portion of Venezuelan migrants in the country are women. Specifically, 52% of them fall in the productive age group of 18 to 39 years old.
