Gladstone BraveBots Robotics Team Competes in World Championship in Houston | Local Team Makes Headlines

The Gladstone BraveBots robotics team recently returned home after competing in the World competition in Houston, Texas. The team had earned a spot in the tournament by performing well in the state competition.

During their time at Johnson Field, the BraveBots played valiantly and won their last seven games, finishing with an impressive record of 8-2. They were the number six alliance captain and joined forces with teams from North Carolina and California. Although they defeated the third-ranked alliance, they ultimately fell to the seventh-ranked alliance, who went on to win the tournament.

Coach Tim Barron praised the team’s hard work, especially in scouting 125 games, and commended the senior members for their leadership skills. He expressed gratitude towards their mentors who dedicated their time and expertise to help them succeed. Despite saying goodbye to graduating seniors, Barron is optimistic about the future of BraveBots thanks to the talented underclassmen on board.
